On my first visit, I ordered a large-sized pho with rare steak and meatballs. The portion was good and I liked that I could choose the type of beef. The soup was okay not the best. The service was quick especially considering it was during the busy lunch rush. The place filled up surprisingly fast. It seemed to be a popular spot for lunch with a lively atmosphere that added to the overall experience.
1st time at the restaurant with family of 4 2 adult 2 small kids we ordered regular pho clear broth the largest one is good portion to share with my kids. The other one we order Bun Bo Hue a little spicy but so delicious definitely gonna come back and order the same one. The ambiance a little dark to my taste. Overall experience is excellent.
I heard this place was good so we decided to try it for lunch time. Lunch time is very busy at this shop, and they don’t have too many workers. We ordered pho with various meats, and a bun bo hue, and also some egg rolls. The size small is way too small, can’t really put the toppings on without it over spilling so I recommend you get the large oz to avoid that. The bun bo hue could have been hotter. One of the order was wrong size but it’s okay because there was a language barrier between the staff and us. Overall, a decent pho spot with good food. But small is kind of too small of a size and I like my soup hot, mouth burning, roof damage type of hot when it comes to pho.
I have to say that this is the best Pho restaurant in my city 💯 Everything was amazing from the food, the atmosphere, and the services. I got the beef pho, and it actually was so good to me, all of the staff were friendly and careful, and the manager was taking care of me and other customers so well. Must try!!!!
This is probably the better pho in Preston & 121 area. The normal pho's soup is tasty, you can pick up to 3 meats, price wise is okay, not cheap not too expensive with small bowl costing $12, medium $14, and Large $17.
We also ordered the spicy noodle soup Bun Bo Hue and it's very good, it is a bit spicy so i won't recommend if you can't handle some heat. The noodle in this spicy noodle soup is more of a pasta noodle vs the thin rice noodle in the regular pho.
We ordered the large 40oz regular pho soup and medium 30oz for the spicy noodle soup, see pictures for the bowl size difference. Overall i would recommend this place.
Terrible service. I order a banh mi sandwich ($6) and a limeade drink ($4). When I receive the drink, it's literally 70% filled with ice. I immediately ask the server to please give me mine without ice and he gave me major attitude. The other server told him in a different language to say yes. He unwillingly takes the drink and gives me this. Tell me is this 2oz drink worth $4?? For a regular lemonade! Major ripoff, so disappointed. I will not return!
This was my third time at pho mac and the first time here, I tried their Bun Bo Hue and it tasted quite common and doesn't have the pig blood cubes that I liked, but I'm a Bun Bo Hue connoisseur and my standards are high. However, for the …
I've been coming here for almost 2 years. Each time is good food with underwhelming service. The wait staff is mostly inexperienced teenagers. Went there today with my wife, 4 and 6 year old and everything was fine until the very end when I asked for the check.
The young waitress came up to us with a roll of paper towel in her hand and said "Can you please clean up the mess on the table? Otherwise we will charge you a service charge for cleaning?"
I was stunned. I clarified this with her. And she confirmed. She pointed to the half chewed lemon on the table and the dirty napkins. So I cleaned up napkins, and the little bits of noodles on the table. Then she proceeded to add a 20% tip because it's 6 people. 3 adults 3 kids.
I asked for the manager. But the manager, who is probably no older than 25 himself said it's policy. Long story short. I demanded him remove the 20% tip for the poor service and poor attitude. I cleaned your table, so don't expect me to pay YOU a tip to do your work.
I've never had a restaurant treat this way to customers. You are in the restaurant business. It's what you're there to do. Serve and clean after the customers. Not hand a roll of paper towels to your customers asking them to clean the table then proceed to add 20% tip.
